Home Recipe; Red Velvet Cake Moist

Ingredient
  • 2 cups plain flour.*
  • 2 tablespoon coco powder*
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder*
  • 1 teaspoon soda bicarbonat*
  • 1 teaspoon salt*
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoon red paste food colouring
  • 1 cup Corn oil
  • 1/2 cup water -warm water
  • 2 eggs
  • vanila extract

Topping
  • 250g cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon - lemon juice

Preparation

1. Prepare buttermilk - mixing 1 tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice with 1 cup of milk and letting it sit until it curdles, about 10 minutes.

2. Combine ingredients in a bowl marked *. Set aside. In Another bowl, mix-in  the sugar, oil and eggs. Beat until light and fluffy. Add buttermilk, red food coloring and vanilla essence. Beat again in a medium . Add sifted ingredients slowly while the mixture is running, until all blended. Finally add hot water and stir well.  

3Generously grease and flour two round, 9 inch cake pans with shortening and flour.Bake in the cake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Do not over bake as cake will continue to cook as it cools.

Chicken Pasta Recipes

Ingredients

10 ounce uncooked spaghetti
2 tablespoons butter
3/4 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, cubed
1/3 chopped green onions
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon each onion powder, rubbed sage, white pepper and black pepper
Dash cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup shredded cheese
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley

Preparation
  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute the chicken, onions and seasonings, uncovered, for 3-5 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer.
  2. Stir in cream. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 4-5 minutes or until slightly thickened. Drain spaghetti; add to chicken mixture; toss to coat. Sprinkle with cheese and parsley. Yield: 4 servings.
